Cedar Chest: A Work in Progress

This website has all the information about Sarah Jansen’s project to write her first novel.

Old book croppedIts working title is Cedar Chest. It is based on the story of her great-great-grandmother Alphonsine as told to Sarah by her grandmother Madeleine. The title is the Canadian name for hope chests – cedar was/is often used for storing linens and so on because the natural oils of cedar wood are supposed to keep moths away.

On the site you can keep up with Sarah’s progress (AKA random musings/procrastination) on the blog, find the synopsis of the story, an overview of the big research and writing trip Sarah completed in February to April 2013, and background on Sarah.

You can follow Sarah on Twitterthe book on Twitter, and like the book’s page on Facebook, and you can donate to the project with that yellow button up on the right.
